Eat Smart

The aim of the project is to increase awareness in the field of food waste and the quality of our diet.

Young people from France and Romania have come together to document ways to reduce food waste and encourage healthy eating. Eat Smart will have as final products a guide, a documentary, as well as a series of trainings that will cover these topics.

This project is funded through Erasmus+, through the Small Scale Partnerships for Youth action (Parteneriate small scale pentru tineret).

EAT SMART GUIDE

Here's the Eat Smart guide, designed to help you reduce food waste yourself and prepare food scraps in unique ways so you have a healthy lifestyle that protects the planet!

EAT SMART DOCUMENTARY

The documentary Eat Smart captures the essence of this project and gives the viewer more perspectives on avoiding food waste and assuming a healthy lifestyle.

Third TPM: Romania

The third working session of the project has just begun with our partners in France, Octop'Us!

We are glad to host them and that we have the opportunity to work together on the latest organizational aspects of the Eat Smart project

Thanks to our dedicated team, we already had the first working meeting in which we gave feedback and we established the last details regarding the documentary and the guide that will be released

Second TPM: France

From 26 to 30 October, the second TPM (transnational partner meeting) within the project took place in Strasbourg.

To ensure the smooth running of the project, we started the meeting with a feedback session on the activities in the project.

Along the way we held several co-working sessions on organizational and teamwork issues.

Together we have finalized the structure of the guide and the documentary that we will publish at the end of the project.

Trainings for the youth

The Eat Smart project is about educating young people and people in the community so as to form healthy habits and reduce food waste, step by step.

20.07 - 20.11

Thus, we organized training sessions on healthy habits that support the reduction of food waste, the effects of food waste and the concept of intelligent consumption of resources.

The first meetings took place in Bucharest, in April 2022.

Together with our partners from Octop'us, we established the main directions of the project and the ways in which we were going to collaborate.

Between 20 and 26 June, we visited the Octop'us organization in Strasbourg.

Here, we worked together on the most important aspects of the project: the structure of the guide, the documentary and the trainings. We also shared long-term tasks between teams so we could continue the collaboration remotely as well.

During their visit to Strasbourg, our volunteers participated in activities through which they learned more about food waste, its causes and solutions against it. We visited an eco-friendly garden, learned about compost, and applied sustainable principles by cooking together.

The Eat Smart experience continues to change our perspective on everyday eating. We are determined to bring closer to our community the beneficial information, through which we hope to inspire a new, healthier and more sustainable lifestyle.
